Le Mas: An enchanting place in an old world setting embedded in a hillside. The main home is approximately 5,400 square feet (500 m2) in 350 acres (140 ha) of private hills and forests. Features include 2 master suites and 5 additional bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 indoor kitchens and 1 outdoor kitchen. A southern exposed spring fed swimming pool overlooks fruit trees, rolling hills and flowers. Le Mas is constructed of limestone, lava, hardwood beams, tile roof, stone and tile flooring and features a wine cellar. Rare self-sustaining water sources from the privately owned mountain springs makes this estate complete. Le Mas is furnished with old world furnishings and comes with a 2,200 square foot (200 m2) caretakers home. Le Mas is maintained to the highest standards 365 days a year by the team of residing caretakers.

Le Mas, a private retreat in the countryside awaits your arrival in Provence. Located sixty minutes from Nice. A fifty minute drive to Cannes, St. Tropez and the Verdon Gorge offers enough privacy for a rock star! The Provence wineries are fifteen minutes down the hill. Artisans and bakeries are in close proximity. Two ski resorts are only a scenic 70 miles drive away for the closest (110 km) and make skiing excursions a frequent experience.

Le Mas is located above a medieval village. From the drive and just outside Le Mas you can view the Mediterranean Sea. The landscape is enhanced with fruit trees, such as pear, cherry, plum and fig. Fragrant native flowers exude a sweet perfume scent. The roadside features thyme, rosemary and other herbs.

Location

Located in Provence's Haut Var region, 20 mi (32 km) from the Mediterranean at a healthy dry elevation of close to 2,000 ft (600 m).

Master House

Originally built XVIIth century, rebuilt to contemporary standards using historic materials.
The house is built of stones with walls 3 ft thick (1 m) and has a roman tile roofing.
The total furnished surface area is 5,400 sq. ft. (500 m2)

Estate

The estate surface area is 350 acres (140 ha) of wooded hills, primarily white oaks and Aleppo pines, with Roman cypresses, cedars, olive trees. Although located in a dry Mediterranean environment, the estate enjoys three natural water springs that keep it lush and green around the year.
